ukactive is now taking entries for the Facility Awards, including Club of the Year (Streamline and Multi-Use) and Leisure Centre of the Year (Streamline and Multi-Use). The Category Awards open on 7 November 2013. You can enter on the ukactive website.
The Flame Awards have recently been reviewed, in order to clearly reflect the work of our members and ukactive's mission and vision, to get more people, more active, more often.
You should enter the Flame Awards if your organisation is currently:
-Demonstrating outstanding levels of management
-Delivering programmes to improve the health of children in schools or local communities
-Has a strong health at work programme, or effective green policy
-Working with, or employes, an outstanding individual that is going above and beyond to get people active
-Providing an innovative solution to inactivity, via a product or programme
-Supplies or works in partnership with another organisation which has gotten more people active.
The Flame Awards will be awarded at the Ball of Fire, taking place after the ukactive Flame Conference on the 2 July 2014, at Telford International Centre.
The deadline for all Facility Awards entries is 20 December 2013 and the Category Awards close on the 31 January 2014.
